Greetings my fine, wonderful, shoe loving friends!

Yes I have been absent for quite awhile but the good news is, I'm coming at ya with an incredible opportunity.

Party On!

I live in St. Louis. The Cardinals are playing in the World Series. I've been distracted. But not so distracted that I would turn down the offer to host a SHOE PARTY! My two favorite words rolled into one.

A while back I was contacted by a rep for Dr. Scholl's about the idea of hosting a shoe party. I know. Dr. Scholl's. I don't know about you guys but when I think about Dr. Scholl's shoes I think about those wooden clog sandals. You know the ones I'm talking about.

Women's Original

When I was little I begged my mom for a pair. I was dying to make that glorious click clacking sound every time I walked on a hard surface. I wore her down. It was worth it.

But I digress. The purpose of this shoe party was to introduce me, a few of my friends, and all of you to the new line of Dr. Scholl's footwear. The result. A ton of fun, more than a few surprises and a new line of shoes to love.

Ladies. Let me be the first to tell you Dr. Scholl's is bringing it. When you think comfort shoes, you certainly don't think stylish. But the design team at Brown Shoe is determined to change all of that. There were too many fabulous options to count. Don't believe me. Here are just a few of my faves from the fall 2011 collection.

Each of the shoes in the fall collection features Dr Scholl's revolutionary memory fit foam cushioning. Seriously people. You need to check them out. I promise, you and your feet will not be disappointed.

Now while I and all of my guests were gifted with a pair of Dr. Scholl's shoes I am not just saying nice things because they gave me (or us) stuff. Everyone is genuinely thrilled with their new shoes. I hope you take a moment to visit their site and see for yourself. Please let me know if you do.

Fall Footwear Trend 2011 - Blocked Heels

Steve Madden - Gaayle Pump

Ok. Obviously it is taking some time for me to get back into my blogging groove. Please bear with me. Anyhoo, today I bring you this lovely blocked heel from one of my favorite shoe designers, Mr. Steve Madden. A rich suede upper made of cognac suede with the perfect pops of plum for some added visual interest. I love the curved pattern at the heel and toe too. Such a haute little detail. If you like them too, just click on the link above to get you some. Happy almost hump day everyone!

Fall Footwear Trend 2011 - Blocked Heels

As a gal who went to high school in the early 90's, the fact that the stacked (AKA "Blocked") heels are back has me giddy!  Based on my previous experience I could run a friggin marathon in these.  I can't wait to pick up a pair (or three) this fall.  Over the next few days I'll be sharing my top picks.  (Seriously, I don't think I can pick just one.)

Sam Edelman - Lyla Pump

If you haven't added a pair of leopard print pumps to your shoe collection, why not start with these?  The Lyla by Sam Edelman features a gorgeous calf hair upper, 4 1/2 inch stacked "wood" heel, and a 3/4 inch hidden platform.  I love the addition of the cognac leather ankle strap. It's a small detail that helps boost these past your average pump.
